English acoustic folk-singer Benjamin Francis Leftwich landed in Atlanta’s Vinyl venue to promote his recently released sophomore LP After The Rain. Leftwich, although only 27 years old, composes insightful melodies that prove he is wise beyond his years. His easy going personality and acoustic numbers are a recipe made in folk-rock heaven, as the intimate audience at the Vinyl can attest.
With a 9:30PM start, Leftwich takes to the stage by his lonesome, accompanied only by his guitar. He’s quick to delve into his performance with “Tilikum” off his most recent album. The crowd is in reverence, sucked in by Leftwich’s performance. The audience was so close knit that Benjamin is even able to ditch the microphone. The mesmerized crowd responded with applause.

When performing, Leftwich’s sincerity is his biggest attraction. His songs are full of emotion and metaphor, painting a landscape and inviting all in attendance to appreciate the view. Among the highlights of Leftwich’s performance were his renditions of “Atlas Hands” and “Shine” as well as many new tracks of his latest album.
Be sure to catch Benjamin Francis Leftwich as he continues his tour through cities like Dallas, Austin, Houston, Denver and several California shows. His show is perfect for any acoustic-folk music fan or would make a romantic setting for a perfect date night.
