Beartooth talk ‘Aggressive,’ Halloween experiences and costume ideas

Beartooth, the metalcore band founded by former Attack Attack! vocalist Caleb Shomo has quickly risen to heights some bands in the scene only dream of. Ever since recording their first songs in Shomo’s basement, the five-piece outfit has embodied the genre with renowned tracks such as “In Between,” “Body Bag,” “The Lines” and “Beaten in Lips.” They’ve toured the globe with some of the biggest acts today – Slipknot, Pierce The Veil, Bring Me The Horizon and Sleeping With Sirens.

Following the release of their sophomore effort, Aggressive, Beartooth has catapulted even further up the rock charts. Selling out venues across the globe is quickly becoming routine for the quintet. Their unique sound paired with massive choruses has clearly been a recipe and new listeners are beginning to take notice each day.

We had the pleasure to catch up with Caleb Shomo and hang out in his tour bus before Beartooth’s show in Charlotte.

Watch as we discuss the band’s sophomore record ‘Aggressive,’ how much Caleb pushed himself in creating one of the summer’s most renowned rock records and what Beartooth’s plans for Halloween are (other than performing in NYC).
