The Disco Biscuits celebrate New Year’s in Atlanta

Philadelphia jam band The Disco Biscuits took to the iconic Atlanta venue The Tabernacle for three intensive nights of music and lights to bid farewell to 2016 in style. The Biscuits have long been a staple of great instrument play and lighting effects and their three night gig was no exception. Volume Magazine was lucky enough to have covered the Biscuits on the first of three shows, and boy, was it epic.

From the very beginning, Disco’s quartet were in complete control unleashing jam after jam to the otherworldly lights and laser show that the band has long been known for. The audience in attendance, formed of every age group, were treated to a fabulous display of musicianship and entertainment that had many attendees grooving-n-dancing like nobody was watching.

One couldn’t help but feel overjoyed by the band, mesmerized by the lights and lasers and feel a sense of liberation taking over by the dancing crowd, truly a sight to be seen. Few bands possess the capability to pull off this mesh of senses like The Disco Biscuits, and it showed as The Tabernacle was packed on all three nights.

While the trans-fusion quartet are taking January of 2017 off, be sure to catch them in February through April as they embark on a bevy of shows in Philadelphia and Austin, the boys are definitely worth the price of admission.
