New Jersey’s next breakout alternative rock band, A Boy Named John, released the official video for their brand new single “Circuits” this week. The standalone single is the first taste of new music for fans while the band continues to work on their sophomore record.
“‘Circuits’ is about vulnerability,” vocalist Christian Singh said. “I wanted to portray that idea throughout the music video in an abstract way by splitting the scenes between the child’s fever dream (shots in the woods) and the mother and doctor in the house. During the fever dream, the child is confronted by two tropes of ‘good’ and ‘bad,’ not knowing who to trust. In the house, the doctor who is seemingly supposed to help the child get better, is actually looking to poison him. These conflicts represent the gray area of vulnerability and facing this adversity, despite things looking bleak.”
