This summer is already better than last if you’re a Charlotte native. Both Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill added themselves to the long list of talent that’s showing face in the Queen City this concert season.
The former added 15 additional dates to the second leg of his much-anticipated DAMN. Tour, which kicks off in July. The rapper will bring along fellow Compton native YG to replace Travis Scott’s, who’s served alongside the acclaimed rapper on the first leg. Kendrick is currently enjoying his time as No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the third consecutive week and bolstering his acclaim on the festival circuit, recently headlining Coachella.
The tour will swing through Charlotte on August 29 at the Spectrum Center. Tickets for the additional tour stops go on sale to the general public Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m. local time.
Meek Mill made waves announcing a full-blown headlining tour featuring Yo Gotti. Both are in line to promote previous releases. The Against All Odds Tour will stop in Charlotte at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre on July 19. Tickets are currently on sale.
